Hypothesis
The more Acid Rain you put on the plants, the more damage it would cause.

Abstract
How much does acid rain affect the growth of a plant? I think the more acid rain on a plant, the more damage. I also think that acid rain does affect plant growth. I thought, if acid rain has any contact with the soil of a plant the plant will not grow. Acid rain is so strong it kills plants, animals, and fish.

I did the experiment by first, I watering my lima bean plants daily with 10mL of water. Next, I kept it by sunlight. Once I was done with those steps, I gave them 4-5 days to grow. Then I took the first plant, plant A, and put one squirt of acid rain on it, then the 2nd plant, plant B, and put two squirts of acid rain on it, to the third plant, plant C, I didn't do anything. I left it alone. Last, but not least, I observed how the color changed in 7 to 8 weeks.

My results were plant A and B didn't grow because the soil of both plants had contact with the acid. Plant C grew a little because it didn't have any contact with the acid rain. My conclusion was: Acid rain does have a effect on plants. Therefore my hypothesis was correct. If I did my experiment again I would put more squirts and use more plants.

Materials
-Acid Rain (a solution of 1 part water and 1 part vinegar,  pH 4.0)
-Spray bottle
-3 Plants ( same kind)
-Table (sit the things on)
-Water 10mL (for each day)
Procedure
1.First water the plants daily with 10mL of water each day.
2.Keep by sunlight every day.
3. Get a table
4.Sit all three plants on the table
5.Put the acid rain in a bottle
6.On the first plant put one squirt of acid rain, on the second plant put two squirts and on the third put none.
7.Observe how the color change from green to another color in 5 to 6 weeks.
Results
As you can see my first plant didnít grow, therefore my gragh is blank. My second graph is also blank because my plants didn't grow. My Third graph has as a little line on it showing that my plant grew two inches.
Conclusion
Acid rain does have a effect on plants, therefore my hypothesis is correct. On plant A it didn't grow because the soil had contact with acid rain. The same thing happened with plant B, even though it didn't get as much acid rain. Plant C didn't have any contact with acid rain. Therefore it grew, but only 2 inches.
